Dr. Helmeczi is one of the worst doctors that I have encountered in my 66 years of life. She does not know what she is doing. She pushes things under the rug, probably because she does not know what to do. She sent me for a routine blood work and never ordered a cholesterol test. She was treating me for high cholesterol. I had to go back and get another blood test. Since my veins are very narrow it took a long time and lots of pain to get more blood. When I told her about it she just blew it off like it was no big thing. I also had to wait 35 minutes in the room until she came in. That happened two different times. When she came in she didn't say she was delayed and she was sorry for being so late. She just blew that off too. I feel she does not know what she is doing at all. She was also treating me for diverticulitis and she told me not to eat nuts and seeds which is one of the right things to tell a patient who has diverticulitis, but she kept telling me to eat lots of fiber and increase my fiber, which I did. I kept getting sicker and sicker. Finally, I went to specialist for the diverticulitis and the specialist said to get off all fiber that I was eating too much fiber. I couldn't have fresh raw vegetables and certain fresh fruits. Helmeczi never told me this and she caused my illness to get worse. The specialist just shook her head when I told her what Helmeczi told me to do for the diverticulitis.

She was also my daughter's doctor. She was treating her for her anemia, but she never put her on a medications until my daughter told her to give her something for the anemia. Again, she acted like she did not know what to do with my daughter and just pushed things under the rug again. My daughter landed in the emergency room over the weekend with heart palpitations which were brought on by the anemia. She told the doctors in the ER who her doctor was, they didn't even know who she was. She works out of that hospital and they didn't know her. That's odd. I do believe that the doctors in the ER knew her but would not give a positive comment on her because they know how bad she is. My daughter is changing doctors also.

Since I have left Helmeczi, I have been told by many many people how bad she is and that these people have left her too. Save yourself and don't go to her or get out if you do go to her.
